Cooking Measurements

Before you start cooking, you need to know how much different measurements mean. So here are some common terms you will come across.

DROPS/TEASPOON

CUPS

LIQUID MEASUREMENT

WEIGHT MEASUREMENT

LENGTH MEASUREMENT

Equivalents

1 pound (lb) = 2 cups butter = 4 cups all-purpose flour = 2 cups granulated sugar = 3 1/2 c. powdered sugar = 2 2/3 cups brown sugar = 2 cups milk

Eggs

½ cup = 2 large eggs = 3 medium eggs

Butter

1 lb. = 32 tbsp. 1 lb. = 2 cups ¼ lb. = 1 bar 1 bar = 4 oz. 1 bar = ½ cup

Baking
